Pastors Fight In Public Over Who Will Pray For A Traveling Bus
A heated argument between two pastors over who would offer prayers for passengers boarding a commercial bus was caught on camera in a Nigerian motor park and went viral.
The couple squared off next to a Peace Mass Transit bus in the 23-second video, which was shot at a busy park. Onlookers watched the dramatic scene play out under a cloudy sky. A typical pre-departure prayer session swiftly turned into a physical altercation.
Due to widespread worries about traffic safety and accidents, motor park pastors are frequently seen in Nigeria offering prayers to travelers in exchange for voluntary offerings.
But in this case, the competition seemed to become tense, eliciting responses from both on-site and online spectators.
“Na business fight for offering,” one social media user commented.
Another added:
“See pastors fighting over who go pray. Wetin we dey see for this country?”
The violent altercation between the pastors is utterly unacceptable and deeply shameful. Such behavior undermines the very principles of faith, respect, and unity that religious leaders are supposed to uphold.
Resorting to physical confrontation over a ceremonial matter not only disrespects the religious community but also sets a harmful example for followers and onlookers.
It is imperative that leaders prioritize peace, humility, and mutual understanding, leaving behind conflicts that tarnish their integrity and the reputation of their faith.
