Tinubu: I Won’t Be Deterred By Antics Of Opposition, Will Deliver Reforms

President Tinubu says opposition pressure won’t distract his government, vows to stay focused on reforms and rule of law.

President Bola Tinubu has declared that he remains undeterred by opposition attacks, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering on its reform agenda.

Speaking in Abuja while hosting the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, the President said his government would prioritise performance, accountability, and national development over political distractions.

Tinubu dismissed claims that he is being pressured into retreat, insisting that he would not abandon the mandate given to him by Nigerians.

“They want to scare me off? It is a lie,” he said, adding that he has remained resolute through past political battles and would continue on the same path.

He stressed that nation-building requires resilience and unity, noting that Nigeria’s progress depends on the collective efforts of its citizens rather than external forces.

The President also underscored the importance of the rule of law, warning that the country must not tolerate disobedience of lawful court orders. He said respect for the judiciary is fundamental to democracy, separation of powers, and national stability.

Taking a swipe at opposition figures, Tinubu questioned their track records, arguing that some critics had previously held key public offices without delivering lasting results.

He maintained that his administration remains focused on implementing reforms inherited alongside the assets and liabilities of the previous government under Muhammadu Buhari.

Earlier, Uzodinma said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative is helping to translate government policies into grassroots engagement, while former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari noted that reform-driven leadership often faces resistance but yields long-term benefits.
