AWAMN Partners West Africa Infrastructure Expo to Advance Sustainable Waste Management in Nigeria
The Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria (AWAMN), under the leadership of its National President, Dr. Olugbenga Adebola, has announced its participation as a supporting association for the upcoming West Africa Infrastructure Expo, a major regional event focused on infrastructure development, urban systems and environmental sustainability.
The expo, scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 April 2026 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, will bring together government representatives, private sector leaders, investors and infrastructure experts from across West Africa for discussions, networking and business collaboration.
AWAMN, which represents licensed private sector waste management operators working in partnership with government authorities across Nigeria, said its involvement in the event reflects the growing importance of waste management and environmental services in building sustainable cities.
According to the association, effective waste collection systems and improved sanitation infrastructure are essential components of modern urban development. By supporting the expo, AWAMN aims to highlight the role of the waste management sector in strengthening environmental protection, improving public health and supporting sustainable urban growth.
The association noted that the event provides an opportunity for stakeholders across the infrastructure and environmental sectors to engage in meaningful dialogue and explore partnerships that can drive innovation and investment in waste management and urban services.
Organisers of the West Africa Infrastructure Expo said the participation of AWAMN strengthens the event’s focus on infrastructure systems that support resilient cities, including waste management, environmental services and integrated urban planning.
The three day gathering is expected to feature exhibitions, industry discussions and networking sessions designed to connect businesses, policymakers and investors working across construction, energy, transportation, sanitation and environmental management.
AWAMN has encouraged its members and other industry stakeholders to attend the expo and take advantage of the platform to share knowledge, explore collaboration opportunities and contribute to conversations shaping the future of infrastructure in Nigeria and across West Africa.
Participation in the event is open to industry professionals and interested participants who wish to engage with key players driving infrastructure development in the region.
