Breaking News: Fubara Pulls Out Of Rivers APC Governorship Primary
The governor of Rivers, Siminalayi Fubara, has pulled out of the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary.
In a statement he personally released on Wednesday, Fubara announced his withdrawal from the race, stating that he did so out of conviction and sacrifice for the state to proceed in harmony and peace.
“Let it be clearly understood that I stepped aside from participating in the upcoming River’s state Gubernatorial election not out of weakness, fear, or surrender, but out of conviction and sacrifice so that Rivers State may move forward in peace and unity and I remain committed to serving the good people of Rivers state till the end of my term,” the statement reads.
I truly admire and support Fubara’s decision to withdraw from the primaries. This man has endured so much, from suspension to numerous conflicts with Wike and others. Despite the challenges, his resilience and perseverance are commendable. I genuinely feel for him and respect his strength in the face of adversity.
