Hillary Clinton Accuses Donald Trump Administration of Delaying Epstein Files Release

Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton has accused the administration of Donald Trump of a “cover-up” over its handling of files linked to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking during the annual World Forum, Clinton says officials are “slow-walking” the release of documents and urges authorities to make the material fully public.
“Get the files out,” she says. “They are slow-walking it.”
The White House rejects the allegation, insisting it has released thousands of pages and cooperated with congressional requests, adding that the administration has “done more for the victims than Democrats ever have.”
The US Department of Justice says it has complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, passed by Congress earlier this month, though some lawmakers argue the disclosure is incomplete. Republican Representative Thomas Massie calls for additional internal memos detailing past charging decisions to be made public.
Epstein died in a New York prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, more than a decade after pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor.
Clinton also addresses whether Prince Andrew should testify before Congress, saying anyone asked to testify should do so. Appearing in the files does not indicate wrongdoing, and Andrew has consistently denied any misconduct.
Clinton and former president Bill Clinton are scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee later this month after a planned contempt vote is shelved. Both deny knowledge of Epstein’s crimes at the time and have not been accused of wrongdoing by survivors.
Responding to Clinton’s remarks, Trump tells the BBC he has “nothing to hide,” saying he severed ties with Epstein decades ago and has been exonerated of any involvement.
