‘I’m Proud of You,’ Tinubu Tells NSA Ribadu, Applauds Leadership and Commitment

Tinubu expresses gratitude to NSA Nuhu Ribadu, praising his leadership in national security and the fight against insurgency and banditry.

President Bola Tinubu has publicly commended Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, for his leadership, describing him as a key figure in Nigeria’s fight against insurgency and banditry.

Speaking during his visit to Yola, Tinubu said, “I’m proud of you, Ribadu. We are grateful for your commitment to liberate Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together, we will win.”

The president used the occasion to thank the people and leaders of Adamawa for their hospitality and commitment to progress. “I am truly delighted to be here in Yola and I must express my gratitude for the warm reception and the joy in the hearts of the people,” he said.

He also commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, saying, “You are reflecting a true commitment of a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. You are truly a reflection of who we are as a people united to achieve for our great nation. Umaru Fintiri, I’ve seen a tremendous amount of renewal, commitment from you, and investments in the education of our children. I commend your vision and commitment to the development of our state.”

Tinubu highlighted the state’s ongoing infrastructure projects, saying: “Your projects commissioned today across sectors of human and institutional development, modern schools that will shape the minds of our children, represent an investment in education today and tomorrow, and a weapon against poverty.”

He also praised the eight-lane road and underpass, a modern high court, and the governor’s office. “The eight-lane road and underpass will improve traffic flow, unlock new economic opportunities, enhance safety, and attract private investment,” Tinubu said.

On economic reforms, the president said: “That is the consequence of all working together, and we will achieve more. Microeconomic success we will achieve for this country. We are investing heavily in agriculture and human capital. We must be able to feed ourselves, feed the country.”

He acknowledged the solidarity between federal and state governments, urging governors to continue carrying their people along. “This is the only profitable investment in democracy. The reward of this investment is for people to be inclusive, included, and for us to eliminate every ramification of poverty in our society,” he said.

The president also commended traditional and religious leaders for promoting peace in Adamawa. “To the chiefs, title chiefs, traditional leaders, and religious faith leaders, I thank you for keeping the peace, working together, and encouraging the spirit of togetherness. It is not easy to endure macroeconomic changes and the dynamics in our politics, but I thank all of you,” he said.

Concluding his visit, Tinubu assured Adamawa of his commitment to national development: “As your leader, I am assuring you of my continual service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to develop. Once again, thank you very much. I am a very happy man.”
