IMN Supporters Rally in Kano Over Reports of Khamenei’s Death

Hundreds of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria gathered in Kano on Sunday to protest reports of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

The demonstrators marched through parts of the city carrying Iranian flags and photographs of Khamenei. They described the rally as an expression of solidarity following reports that a joint United States and Israeli military operation led to the Iranian leader’s death.

The procession started at Fagge Central Mosque in the afternoon and concluded at the IMN Islamic Centre in Kofar Waika. At the venue, participants held speeches and offered prayers.

Clerics who addressed the gathering spoke about the situation in the Middle East and its possible international consequences. A special prayer session was also held for Iran, with participants asking for peace and divine guidance during the ongoing tensions.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, said he would confirm details with officers in the area. No official statement had been released at the time this report was filed.

The protest was reported to have remained peaceful, with no incidents of violence recorded.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
