Kebbi Government Confirms Terrorist Abduction Of Female Students In Maga, Staff Killed During School Attack

The Kebbi State Government has confirmed a terrorist attack on Maga Comprehensive Girls Secondary School, where an unspecified number of female students have been abducted.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmed Idris confirmed the incident, noting that details of the attack remain sketchy as authorities work to ascertain the full scale of the violence.
Deputy Governor Umar Tafida immediately led a team of government officials and security personnel to the scene to assess the situation, coordinate response efforts, and provide assistance to victims.
Eyewitness reports indicate that the terrorists stormed the school premises, firing sporadically, resulting in the death of a staff member and leaving several others injured. Panic reportedly ensued as students attempted to flee the school compound during the attack.
Security agencies have been mobilised to pursue the attackers, secure the school, and facilitate the safe return of the abducted students. The state government is appealing for calm among residents while rescue and investigation efforts continue.
Authorities are also working to establish communication with the affected families and ensure medical care for the injured. The attack has raised concerns about the increasing threat of terrorism targeting educational institutions in Northern Nigeria.
