Secret of Sustained Power

Every time power is released, something leaves. When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, He stopped and said, “Power has gone out of Me” (Luke 8:46).

Every time power is released, something leaves. When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, He stopped and said, “Power has gone out of Me” (Luke 8:46). Other Bible translations call it virtue. That moment revealed a spiritual truth that still speaks today.

Every time you give, teach, pray, encourage, serve, or love deeply, something leaves you. It is not weakness; it is how grace flows. We all carry virtue within us that touches lives. Sometimes we release it intentionally through faith, and sometimes others draw from us simply because they believe in the grace we carry. (2Kings 2:9)

But here lies the mystery: virtue flows from connection. When we pour out and do not return to our Source, we begin to run empty. A soldier knows that when his weapon runs out of bullets, he must reload. Even water, when it runs low, must be replenished if it will continue to sustain. (Luke 5:16)

Likewise, you must return to the Source, your God, to be refilled, strengthened, and renewed. When you give and do not return for renewal, you risk losing what makes your giving powerful.

Samson once carried the strength of heaven, but he became too confident in the residue of grace. He poured out but forgot to return for refilling. The day he rose to fight as before, he discovered that the fountain had run dry. “He did not know that the Lord had departed from him” (Judges 16:20).

There are seasons when God will let you feel your emptiness, not to shame you but to call you back to Himself. He reminds you that power is not permanent outside His presence. Virtue does not sustain itself; it flows from constant communion with Christ. (John 15:5)

The secret place is not a ritual; it is your refuelling station. The altar of prayer is not a routine; it is where heaven restores what life has drawn from you. (Isaiah 40:3)

If you have been giving, helping, serving, and feeling weary, hear this: return to your Source. Sit with God until strength returns. Wait until grace speaks again. The world does not need a tired vessel; it needs a refilled one.

Power is still available. The same virtue that flowed through Jesus still flows through those who remain connected. Do not be like Samson, who rose to fight without realising the anointing had departed. Be like Jesus, who often withdrew to lonely places and prayed (Luke 5:16).

That is how you keep virtue flowing. Every time something goes out, make sure you go back in. Refill in His presence. That is how vessels remain full, battles are won, and lives continue to be changed through you.

May this revelation refill you and turn what felt like weakness into flowing power.

QUOTES

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.
― Walter Mosley, Blue Light

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
