Uganda confirms outbreak Of Ebola Virus Disease

An Ebola outbreak has been reported by Africa’s leading health organization in the eastern Ituri province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) reported 246 cases and 65 deaths, mostly in the gold-mining towns of Mongwalu and Rwampara.

The health ministry of Uganda announced on Friday that a 59-year-old man who passed away on Thursday had tested positive for imported Ebola from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Ebola is believed to have spread from bats and was first identified in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1976. This is the nation’s 17th outbreak of the fatal virus.

It causes severe bleeding and organ failure and is transmitted through broken skin and direct contact with bodily fluids.

Fever, headache, sore throat, exhaustion, and muscle soreness are among the initial symptoms; vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and bleeding come next.

Ebola has no known treatment. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the average death rate is about 50%.

Ebola is a severe and often deadly viral hemorrhagic fever caused by the Ebola virus, which spreads through direct contact with infected bodily fluids or contaminated objects.

Given the recent outbreak in Uganda, it is crucial for everyone to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions. Practicing good hygiene, avoiding contact with infected individuals, and following health authorities’ guidelines can help prevent the spread of this dangerous disease and protect communities from further impact.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

QUOTES

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
