Actress Rachael Okonkwo schools Zubby Michael after he claimed she has scared her future husband away by buying a house.
In the clip, Zubby Michael is heard telling Racheal Okonkwo that her success, including owning a house and luxury car, may have scared away potential suitors. He suggested that financially independent women often intimidate men, adding that she may no longer “need a man” due to her achievements.
However, the remark did not sit well with the actress, who quickly pushed back. Racheal Okonkwo emphasized that her priority is to live a purposeful life before considering marriage, stressing that she does not view marriage as a means of escaping poverty.
She further stated that she seeks a partner who is already self-established, just as she has worked to build herself. Highlighting her responsibilities, the actress noted that her success has enabled her to care for her five siblings.
Racheal also questioned the narrative that successful women scare men, pointing out that even during her early days dancing “Akanchawa,” she was still unmarried.
