Bishop David Oyedepo Calls for God’s Vengeance Against Killers, Kidnappers in Nigeria

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has called on God to unleash His vengeance upon those perpetrating violence, killings, and kidnappings across Nigeria, particularly targeting the Church and innocent citizens.

Speaking during a fiery church service held at the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, on Sunday, the revered cleric and prophet lamented the escalating insecurity in the country, declaring it was time for the Church to rise in prayer and intercession on behalf of the nation.

“Let God’s vengeance come upon every kidnapper, every killer of innocent lives, and every satanic agent waging war against the Church,” Bishop Oyedepo declared. “Enough is enough. Nigeria is God’s own land and the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church.”

The sermon, streamed live on YouTube and watched by thousands around the world, stirred a strong spiritual response as believers joined Bishop Oyedepo in fervent prayers for divine judgement against the wicked.

He emphasized that the church must no longer remain silent amid the bloodshed and chaos. “We are not helpless. We serve a God of judgement. It is time for divine intervention. The Church must wake up and take its place,” he said.

Bishop Oyedepo, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential Christian leaders, has long been vocal about social injustice, corruption, and national security concerns. He described the current spate of kidnappings and killings as a direct assault on the body of Christ and the peace of Nigeria.

While no specific incident was cited during the service, his message comes in the wake of ongoing attacks on communities and religious institutions in several parts of the country.

Church leaders, civil society groups, and citizens have continued to call on the Nigerian government to intensify efforts to secure lives and properties, amid growing concerns about national safety.

The full video of the service is currently available on the official Living Faith Church YouTube channel.
