Bruno Fernandes‘ performances for Manchester United have earned him the title of Premier League Player of the Season for the 2025–2026 season.
Fernandes was a major contributor to United’s top-three finish, according to the club, which made the announcement on Saturday.

This season, Fernandes has tied the Premier League single-season assist record previously held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne with eight league goals and twenty assists.
When United plays Brighton & Hove Albion in their last league match on Sunday, the Portuguese midfielder may break the record.
A panel of football experts and fan votes were used to determine the winner.
Fernandes had previously been named Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association and had won Manchester United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for the fifth time.
Along with Gabriel Magalhães, David Raya, Declan Rice, Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Igor Thiago, he was included on the award shortlist.
Since the award’s inception in the 1994–95 campaign, Fernandes is the seventh Manchester United player to receive it.
