Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly killed
Iran’s Tasnim News Agency published a report on Monday alleging that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have been killed or wounded as the war with Iran intensifies.
The post, which has since gone viral, followed the absence of newly released photos or videos of Netanyahu.
It was gathered that the last video published on Netanyahu’s official channel appeared nearly three days ago, while the most recent photos of him date back about four days.
Since then, only written statements attributed to him have appeared in the media, with no new images or video footage released.
It was also learnt that the usual pattern involved the release of at least one video per day from the prime minister, and sometimes up to three. The sudden halt in these video releases over the past few days has fueled the speculation.
Some Israeli media sources have also reported that on the night of March 8, security measures around Netanyahu’s residence were intensified, including efforts to counter potential threats from suicide drones.
According to findings, sources close to Israel’s foreign policy circles have said that a planned visit to Israel by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump, and Jason Greenblatt, the U.S. special envoy, which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled due to these concerns.
Although the reported death of Netanyahu is yet to be officially confirmed by Israeli authorities, they have yet to react to the viral report.
