Jude Bellingham releases behind‑the‑scenes of his shoulder surgery
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has offered a rare and intimate look into his medical journey, releasing a documentary-style video on his YouTube channel titled “Jude – Under The Knife” which details his 2025 shoulder surgery.
The footage provides a raw look at the midfielder under anesthesia and surrounded by surgeons at the Fortius Clinic in London, a level of transparency seldom seen from top-tier athletes.
The 22-year-old midfielder underwent the procedure in July 2025 to address a recurrent dislocation of his left shoulder, an injury he had been nursing with extensive strapping and a protective brace since late 2023.
As reported by Managing Madrid, Bellingham admitted that the persistent issue had become “tiresome,” particularly in the heat, and that the physical strain had begun to negatively affect the rest of his body.
The decision to delay the surgery until after the 2025 Club World Cup meant that Bellingham missed the first few months of the 2025/26 campaign, including several key La Liga and Champions League fixtures.
He was sidelined for approximately three months, eventually making his return to action in late September as a substitute against Espanyol.
Since returning to the pitch, Bellingham has quickly regained his influential form for the Spanish giants. According to the latest statistics from Footballdatabase, the Englishman has recorded 6 goals and 4 assists across 31 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
His successful recovery has been a vital boost for Real Madrid, as he remains a cornerstone of their midfield following a grueling rehabilitation process that he described as one of the most anxious moments of his career.
