Opeyemi Aiyeola Questions Why Celebrities Are Silent Over Oyo Security

Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has publicly voiced her grave concerns about what she sees as growing tension and insecurity in Oyo State and some areas of Yorubaland. She has also questioned the silence of well-known people in the entertainment and political spheres.

She cited a number of well-known figures and conventional leaders in her heartfelt message, questioning why they haven’t used their platforms to address the issue or spread awareness.

She said:

From my own view, I feel many celebrities have learned from past experiences and now prefer to stay out of controversial issues to avoid backlash or criticism.

The fear of being attacked or heavily criticized has made them more cautious about speaking out on sensitive topics. As a result, they choose to focus on their careers and personal lives, staying within their comfort zones and avoiding the risks that come with voicing their opinions publicly.
