Portable Expresses Frustration Following Defeat To Carter Efe In Boxing Match
After losing to Carter Efe in their celebrity boxing match, Portable says he was cheated out of winning.
At the Chaos in the Ring 4 event on Saturday, which took place at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Carter Efe defeated Portable by unanimous decision in a lopsided bout.
It was the first time Portable had ever lost in a celebrity boxing ring.
The “Zazzu” singer accused the organizers of not scoring the punches he delivered to Carter Efe in a post on his Instagram story.
“I was robbed. Carter Efe was wrestling while I was throwing punches. He was strangling with his long hands and height. I threw him many punches. Why didn’t you people count them? Any blow that I threw at him ought to count, even if it meets him on the shoulder or hand. And to the organisers, I want my stream money amounting to about N200 million. Just give me my money before I cause trouble,” he said.
“Carter Efe was just holding my neck. I was punching him, too, but you people are not talking about that.
They knew he was tall and had long hands, but still put him in a boxing match with me.”
In the aftermath of his defeat to Carter Efe, Portable expressed his frustration openly, highlighting the emotional toll of the loss. Despite the setback, he remains determined to improve and come back stronger in future bouts.
This experience serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of boxing and the importance of resilience in the face of adversity. Fans and supporters will undoubtedly be watching closely as Portable trains harder, eager to witness his comeback and continued pursuit of greatness in the ring.
