Seres, BMW And Mercedes-Benz Form Equal Stake EV Charging Alliance In China

Seres has joined BMW and Mercedes-Benz as an equal shareholder in a China-based fast-charging joint venture to expand electric vehicle infrastructure.

Chinese automaker Seres will become an equal partner in a fast-charging joint venture with BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Automaker Seres 601127.SS) said on Friday it will join the fast-charging Chinese joint venture between BMW and Mercedes-Benz as an equal shareholder.

The move strengthens collaboration among the three companies to expand high-speed electric vehicle charging infrastructure across China through the joint venture, IONCHI.

Seres added that its electric vehicle brand, Aito  will support the development and rollout of the JV’s charging network.

The partnership is expected to accelerate the growth of EV infrastructure in China, improving accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle users nationwide.
