Tinubu Re-Election Bid Begins As APC Leaders Buy N100m Form

APC leaders buy N100 million form for Tinubu as supporters say the move reflects backing ahead of the 2027 election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu moved toward a 2027 re-election bid after party leaders bought his nomination form.

The All Progressives Congress form costs N100 million.

James Faleke collected the form at the party office in Abuja.

He said, “I have done so on behalf of all Nigerians.”

He said, “There is no one particular person that has done this.”

He said more than 1,000 supporters contributed money to the purchase.

He said, “Here again, I am privileged to buy the form on behalf of all Nigerians for our president.”

The Governor’s Advisory Council said it funded the purchase.

Its chairman, Tajudeen Olusi, spoke in Lagos.

He said members contributed money for the form.

He said, “The council resolved to collectively purchase the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms.”

He denied that one person funded the purchase.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu said party members support Tinubu’s programme.

Faleke also picked forms for Obafemi Hamzat and Idiat Adebule.

In Bauchi, Shehu Buba picked a governorship form.

He said, “I am physically present to obtain my nomination forms.”

He said he is ready to contest.
