Autopsy Uncovers Shocking Details In Destiny Boy’s Mysterious Death

Ifayomi Oba Edu Jogbodo Orunmila has been exonerated of any involvement in the death of 22-year-old Afrofuji singer Afeez Adesina, also known as Destiny Boy, according to an autopsy.

After an investigation into Destiny Boy’s death was initiated, the Ogun State Police Command verified the autopsy.

The autopsy, which was carried out by a consultant anatomic pathologist, found dangerous amounts of tramadol, its metabolites, and methamphetamine in the deceased’s system, according to Police Public Relations Officer DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi.

The official date of death was confirmed to be January 17, 2026, and the report concluded that aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances was the cause of death.

Afeez Adesina rose to prominence in 2019 after his Fuji-style cover of ‘If’ by Davido went viral. He later released songs including ‘Lamba,’ ‘One Transaction,’ ‘Gbese,’ ‘Billion Dollar,’ ‘Mio Gbonkankan,’ and ‘Lowkey.’ He died on January 17, 2026, under circumstances that generated widespread public concern and calls for investigation. He is survived by his partner, Iremide, and their child, born in November 2024.
