Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun won the Ogun East Senatorial District APC primary election, which was conducted throughout the district’s nine local government areas.

Wale Bello, the senatorial district’s returning officer, made the announcement at Itoro Hall in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area.

Bello claims that Abiodun won the ruling party’s election with 75,560 votes out of 99,503 registered voters.

The Ogun State governor credited God and the backing of party members and supporters throughout the district for the victory in his acceptance speech.

Abiodun expressed gratitude to APC supporters for their faith in him and promised to uphold their confidence.

As part of its nationwide preparations for the general elections in 2027, the APC is holding its primary.

Congratulations to Dapo Abiodun on his well-deserved victory in the Ogun East APC Senatorial Primary. It’s clear that his supporters and the political landscape are steadfast in their pursuits, with many seemingly unwilling to rest from one position to another.

The real question that lingers is: when will the younger generation finally take the reins and lead the way for a new era of leadership?
