Afrobeats star Davido has strongly condemned a viral video showing a violent bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School.

The singer took to X on Sunday to express his anger after watching the disturbing footage circulating online. Reacting to the video, Davido described the behaviour as disgusting and unacceptable.

The video shows two male students repeatedly attacking another student who had already fallen to the ground. In the footage, one of the attackers is seen dragging the victim by his school uniform and stepping on his chest and head while the boy cries out in pain.

Another student who was recording the incident can be heard pleading with the attackers to stop.

The video quickly spread across social media platforms, triggering strong reactions from the public and raising concerns about bullying in schools.

Following the incident, the management of Igbinedion Secondary School announced disciplinary actions against the students involved. The two students responsible for the assault were expelled from the school, while the student who recorded the incident was suspended.

The Edo State Police Command has also confirmed that an investigation is underway. Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem stated that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has directed the Divisional Police Officer in the area to thoroughly investigate the matter.

According to the police, acts of bullying, violence, and intimidation among students will not be tolerated, and anyone found responsible will face the full weight of the law.

The incident has further sparked public discussion about the need for stronger measures to prevent bullying and ensure the safety of students in schools across the country.
