Published on

Disc jockey Kudirat Gbemisola, better known by her stage name DJ Kulet, has revealed that she was a prostitute before she gave her life to Christ.

She made the revelation on Sunday during a church service testimony session in which she discussed her personal growth and past experiences.

Kulet claimed that many people were aware of her previous way of life in Surulere, especially in the Lawanson neighborhood of Lagos, and that she had led a difficult life at the time.

She said, “How Jesus bought me my own house in Surulere, the same Surulere where the devil once messed me up. Jesus Christ turned my mess to a message (His gospel).

“I was once homeless, and sleeping around. Of course you know me because I was very popular then. I was into prostitution. I was roaming the streets of Lagos homeless. Then a man rented a face me I slap for me. My cheap asewo work now elevate me to a room self-contained with a man’s money until Jesus Christ now elevated me to a room and parlor self-contained, then my DJ work don dey pay but the landlord frustrated me. He did not do the toilet for two years, I was going around to defecate.

“After two years of living in a house without a toilet, I was elevated to a four bedroom ensuite apartment where I’m currently living through my work as a DJ. Fast-forward to April last year, God bought a house for me here in the same Surulere. I did not sleep around to pay, and I paid in full with agent money.”

DJ Kulet’s story is a powerful reminder that no matter our past mistakes or struggles, redemption and transformation are always possible through faith. Her journey from a difficult past to embracing God’s grace serves as an inspiration to anyone seeking hope and a new beginning. It’s a testament to the fact that with God’s mercy, we can rise above our circumstances and step into the purpose He has for us.

Her testimony encourages us all to believe in the power of forgiveness and the promise of a fresh start.
