Love Conquered All: Tim Godfrey And Wife Recall Their Magical Meeting

Nigerian gospel singer Tim Godfrey and his spouse, Erica, have revealed details about how their romance started and ultimately resulted in marriage.

During an appearance on Teju Babyface’s podcast, the couple discussed their relationship and looked back on their four years of dating.

According to Tim Godfrey, a mutual friend introduced them. He clarified that if he did not find a wife within that year, he had previously decided to give up looking for a partner. But while he was overseas, a friend sent him photos of a number of women, and he was instantly drawn to Erica.

He claims that before they were married, he had to consciously pursue and “fight” for their relationship after they finally met.

Erica gave her version of events as well, stating that a mutual friend introduced them. She acknowledged that when she first met him, she secretly questioned whether their relationship would eventually result in marriage. She went on to say that when she went to pick him up at the airport, Tim first told her he wanted to marry her.

She continued by saying that she frequently prayed for their marriage to last and for her husband to not fall in love with another woman.

Tim recalled the incident at the airport, saying he was certain Erica was the one and boldly declared she would be his wife as soon as he saw her approaching.

Additionally, he pointed out that Erica was already well-established when they first met, characterizing her as self-sufficient, prosperous, and content with a decent job, a car, and a house of her own.
