Natasha Announces Run For Second Term In Kogi Central, Calls For PDP Member Unity

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator for Kogi Central, has formally announced her intention to run for reelection for a second term, citing thorough consultations and consistent support from constituents and family members.

The announcement was made during the Kogi Central Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders’ Meeting, which brought together party leaders, supporters, and important stakeholders to discuss the party’s direction in the district. It was included in a statement released by her media office in Abuja.

Speaking to the audience, the lawmaker stated that her choice was the result of months of support and appeals from all five of Kogi Central’s local government districts.

“After due consultations and encouragement from my husband, I have accepted your calls to re-contest for a second term as your senator,” she stated.

““This is the time to bring everyone back home. We must reconcile with those who may have had one issue or another, for the betterment of our party and the success of our elections ahead.”

Speaking at the event, the PDP Kogi Central Zonal Chairman, Hon. Anthony Akuvada, commended the senator’s leadership, describing her as a transformational figure whose impact has been widely felt across the district.

“Distinguished Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has redefined representation in Kogi Central. Her performance in office has been nothing short of exemplary, from infrastructural development to human capital empowerment.”

“She is a leader who listens, understands the pulse of her people, and has consistently delivered on her promises. Her closeness to party members and constituents is a rare quality that continues to unite our party.”
