Russia Launches Sustained Wave Of Aerial Strikes Across Ukraine

Ukraine’s air force says Russia has launched a sustained wave of drone and missile strikes across the country since Thursday evening.

Russia has launched a rolling aerial assault on Ukraine since Thursday evening, with large numbers of drones and missiles entering Ukrainian airspace, according to Ukraine’s air force.

Officials said Moscow deployed more than 400 long-range drones and at least ten ballistic missiles in the past 24 hours, targeting areas near the frontline and key regions.

Military spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat said the pattern mirrors earlier strikes this week, where overnight drone barrages were followed by daytime attacks, signaling a new tactic aimed at stretching Ukraine’s air defences.

Authorities reported that one person was killed and 25 others injured in the Kharkiv region following combined missile, bomb and drone strikes.

The intensified bombardment has disrupted daily life across Ukraine, forcing closures of schools, public transport, and government services as air raid alerts continue for hours at a time.

Officials say investigations and defence operations are ongoing as Ukraine continues to repel repeated large scale  aerial assaults.
