Ruth Kadiri Sends Letter To President Tinubu Addressing Insecurity

Actress Ruth Kadiri has called on President Bola Tinubu to take urgent action over rising insecurity in the country following the killing of a teacher.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she expressed concern about what she described as the increasing number of deaths and violent incidents across Nigeria.

She wrote: “This is not propaganda!
This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad.
And even if they were, you can’t leave your house on fire.
Dear President Tinubu, pls do something, or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties.
Too much death everywhere.
Being a Nigerian is not even safe at home anymore.

“Too many innocent lives are paying for sins they know nothing about. @officialasiwajubat”.

Ruth Kadiri made this heartfelt appeal in light of the recent tragedy involving the death of Michael Oyedokun, a dedicated staff member of Community High School in Ahoro-Esinle, Oriire Local Government Area. Reports confirm his identity amidst the rising surge of insecurity that has emboldened kidnappers to act without restraint.

Nigerians are deeply distressed by this alarming trend, as innocent lives continue to be lost for no just cause. It is imperative that urgent action be taken to restore safety and peace across the nation.

We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment." - Mahatma Gandh
