South Assumes NDC Zones Presidency For Four-Year Term
Published on
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) announced on Saturday that it has designated Southern Nigeria as the location of its 2027 presidential ticket for a single four-year term.
Afam Victor Ogene, who represents the Ogbaru Constituency of Anambra State in the 10th National Assembly, made the motion during the current Maiden edition of the party’s National Convention of the NDC. The delegates approved it.
Additionally, it was decided that the presidential ticket would be automatically zoned to the north following a four-year term.
This move has made it possible for Mr. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, and other candidates from the South to purchase the party’s presidential form.
