APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Resigns Amidst Internal Party Tensions

Published on

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially resigned from his position, effective Friday, June 27, 2025. His resignation, formally submitted to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, was addressed to the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru, and cited health-related reasons as the primary cause for his exit.

While health concerns were stated in his resignation letter, party insiders and political analysts suggest that his departure was influenced by escalating internal party tensions, growing discontent among party stakeholders, and lingering zoning controversies that have plagued his tenure.
