Complete details of teachers, students, including a toddler kidnapped by terrorists in Oyo

A toddler, Christianah Akanbi, aged 2, of Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School, is among the 46 persons whisked away by terrorists in some communities in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State last Friday.

The breakdown of the victims was given by community leaders, who disclosed that a total of 46 persons – seven teachers and 39 students – were kidnapped from Community High School Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School. 

The community leaders further revealed that four motorcycles were also snatched from villagers (three from Yawota community and one from the high school

Following the attack on the schools, teachers in the affected areas have since stopped working while calling on the federal government and Governor Seyi Makinde to take urgent steps to secure their release. 

The attack has also been condemned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has vowed to ensure their release.
