N’Golo Kanté  signs until 2028 after FIFA clears paperwork, ending Al Ittihad spell, with Fenerbahçe his only choice.

France midfielder N’Golo Kanté has completed a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, bringing an end to his time at Saudi club Al Ittihad.

The deal was finalized after Kanté terminated his contract with Al Ittihad, paving the way for a fresh start in Istanbul.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahçe confirmed that the former Chelsea and Leicester City star has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

The transfer had initially faced delays due to documentation issues, but both Fenerbahçe and Al Ittihad received the required clearance from FIFA following a review of the paperwork. An official green light from the world football governing body allowed the move to be completed.

Sources close to the negotiations indicated that Kanté was clear about his future, insisting on joining Fenerbahçe despite interest elsewhere. The 33 year old is expected to bring experience, leadership, and stability to Fenerbahçe’s midfield as the club targets domestic and European success.

An official statement from the club is expected to follow as Kanté prepares to link up with his new teammates ahead of upcoming fixtures.
