Popular Nigerian comic actor Bamidele Tope Saint, widely known as Okemesi, has been lost to the cold hands of death.
The actor reportedly died at a hospital on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at about 11:50 a.m., after slipping into a coma due to complications linked to drugs administered during treatment.
His death was announced in a video shared on Instagram by fellow actor Tony Montana Jeff, who disclosed that Okemesi had been pronounced dead by doctors and that his body had been deposited in the mortuary.
“With a heavy heart, I announce to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning, February 24, 2026. Okemesi is gone,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the Bamidele family, Tony Montana Jeff added that funeral arrangements would be communicated later, while expressing appreciation to everyone who showed support during the actor’s final moments. He also prayed for the late actor’s soul to rest in peace.
