Set Apart

Each of us carries within us a unique assignment, a calling that is not birthed from our flesh but from the Spirit. It is essential to understand that our divine assignments require divine strategies.

Do you know that you are set apart by God for a unique purpose? In Galatians 1:15, we read that Paul was set apart from his mother’s womb. This means that our assignment and destiny were predetermined by God, even before we were born.

Each of us carries within us a unique assignment, a calling that is not birthed from our flesh but from the Spirit. It is essential to understand that our divine assignments require divine strategies.

We cannot rely on our own strength to fulfill what God has placed within us. When we attempt to mix the flesh with the Spirit, chaos ensues, and we risk shipwrecking our destinies.

The first level of being set apart is God’s initiative. Just as Paul was set apart from his mother’s womb, so too are we chosen for our purposes before our birth. This means that our assignments are older than we are; they exist in the heart of God long before we take our first breath.

However, the second level of setting apart is our responsibility. While God has chosen us, we must also choose to set ourselves apart for His work. This is where many falter. We must abide in our calling, whether it be in governance, ministry, or business. When we know our purpose, distractions fade away, and we can focus on the path God has laid before us.

Consider the prophet Jeremiah, who was called by God before he was even born. Despite his initial doubts and feelings of inadequacy, God reassured him, saying, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” God equips us for our assignments, regardless of our age or perceived limitations.

Every assignment from God is older than us; it is rooted in our spirit, which was formed by God before our physical bodies came into being. We must recognize that our true identity and purpose are found in our spirit, not in our flesh.

Beloved, let us remember that God is with us, ready to deliver us and guide us. He has equipped us with everything we need to fulfill our assignments. May we be encouraged to seek clarity in our callings and to act with confidence, knowing that we are set apart for a purpose that is both divine and eternal. Amen.
