Nigeria Suspends Israel Pilgrimage as Middle East Security Situation Worsens

Published on

The Federal Government has announced the immediate suspension of all Christian pilgrimages to Israel due to the current security challenges in the Middle East.

In a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), said the decision was taken after careful consideration of recent developments in the region.

He explained that the move is a precautionary step aimed at protecting Nigerian pilgrims, following the growing security concerns and tensions in parts of the Middle East.

The commission assured the public that the safety and wellbeing of Nigerian pilgrims remain a top priority, and that the suspension will remain in place until the situation improves.

Further updates will be communicated to intending pilgrims once the security situation in the region becomes more stable.
